ABOUT
I ended up at Pitti Uomo in 2024 by accident — I was in Florence and it happened to be on. I wasn't looking for a shoe brand. I'd just always worn mojri, going back about fifteen years, because my family's from Rajasthan and I spent a lot of time there growing up. Walking around Pitti, seeing what the Italians do with leather, I kept thinking someone should make a mojri like that, a version that is luxurious, one that belongs in every room and can be worn morning till night. Eventually I figured it might as well be me. In Italy, I found shoe makers, who cared for their craft and had access to incredible tanneries in Tuscany.
I didn't have a manufacturer or a plan. That came a year later, back at the same show, when I met a family who've made shoes in Italy for generations. We got to talking on the sidelines about the mojri, and it went from there. I created a shoe last in India, took it with me to Italy, and after multiple iterations, we had our first shoe. Full-grain calfskin, hand-stitched, built the way they'd build any of their own shoes.

So that's it — a shoe from Rajasthan, made by hand in Italy, designed by me in Austin.
